Everybody I have met face-to-face from over here at PP has been a class act.

I'd share a hookah with the lot of'em.

They have a really good and active 107 section...lot's of very intelligent people over there in that section.

Their OT area is a different story. It's German Star's play ground. The personal attacks go way too far over there. I haven't posted over there in a long time.

I haven't met you in person, so does that mean that I'm NOT a Class Act?

Benzworld is the biggest collection of low-life's & mouth-breathers on the Internet. The W126 forum is the very worst. There's a cast of characters who hang there, as well as the moderators, that make one scratch their head. Some of the stories, while true, are honestly beyond belief with regard to the stupidity of their posters.

I'm talking about the now-famous Cascade "Smoke Repossession" thread; the "Cut the M117 water pump belts on the way up the Grapevine" thread; and the thread where member McClare's wheel flew off his car at full tilt, hit the windshield of an oncoming car and almost killed a woman passenger pregnant with child.

Most people who know anything have either stopped going there or have been ~BANNED~. IMHO Benzworld ~BANNED~ is a mark of honor....

Your spewing of obscenities, personal attacks and flaming over on Benzworld, some years ago, on the w126 forum, and after being called out by me and others, and then refusing to apologize, or retract any of them, and instead went on to attack the Benzworld w126 moderators too, is what got you PERMANENTLY banned.
At which time, you tediously removed every one of your numerous posts, some of which had good technical knowledge, like a crybaby that took away his football and went home.

Years later, today, your hatred and resentment still burns incandescent within you.

I have been on that site since 2006 and found some people that have become fast personal friends on there, like here, but since I inhabit only the w126 forum, am well known, generally liked, and have traded valuable information, even bought/sold/gave away/gotten or given free parts, and over the years cloned the AMG I have into its present state, gone on tours and drives with w123, w124 and w126 Benzworld members in California, and post there regularly. One member there actually found for me the '95 e420 that I bought.

The moderators there, who I actually have met personally, and socially over the years, banned you ALSO, for personal attacks on THEM and your utter, complete recalcitrance. You have been discussed casually a few times in my presence, and the consensus is bewilderment at the sheer DEPTH and intensity of your vitriol.

Your words posted on here today, sadly prove you have learned nothing, from your doings on Benzworld years ago, and sadly, cannot come to terms with your past egregious misdeeds.

Time marches on. I think as a full grown adult, you would be wise to put your past anger and resentments behind you, AFTER you examine and come to terms with your ongoing anger, (as personally distasteful as you may find that)..

I am "cascade", even today, and the stealth repossession thread was indeed mine.

It generated plenty of interest - 70+ pages of posts, as it turned out.

(for anybody interested, to see what it was) -

In defense of B/W....
I have to give credit to some of the posts that were mentioned. The wheel flying off is my personal favorite with the water pump belt a c-l-o-s-e second. What makes these funny, IMHO, is that they were done by so called "car people," not some little old lady who knows nothing about cars - read on for THAT one.
Let me explain - I write for a living and have done a few TV shows, etc., etc. inspired by those, and a few others, as well as BBC's "Top Gear" program I pitched a show tentatively called "Bottom Gear."
"Bottom Gear" is a cross between "Stupid Pet Tricks" and "America's Funniest Home Video's" but with a Hillbilly car twist. "Russian Dash Cams" have nothing on some of the stories that I have read. It shows the "not so proud moments" of the car enthusiast's life and/or experience. Things so, how should I say this, so unflattering that merely being embarrassed and hiding in shame does not do the situation justice.
Anyway, because of some of stories I read on B/W and a few other sites I became inspired, wrote a treatment, had a few meetings and got the go-ahead, and money - the money's important - for a pilot. "The Wheel and the Pregnant Lady" was the story that clinched the deal. I swear you can't make this stuff up. I had the suits rolling in the aisle (actually board room) with that AND the fan belt episode because a lot of these guys are car people. Peeing in the radiator to fill it up was also on the list but that was from the 50's and involved Jaguars. There's also "The Little Old Lady Who Knows Nothing About Cars" episode. She's complaining about the "thump-thump-thump" on her new Bentley - she called the dealer and they sent someone right out, to change a flat...
Anyway, they couldn't believe it until I pulled out the printed copies I had prepared about the Preggers lady. Also saved on costs by reducing the writing staff.
So be nice to B/W as they have provided me with a pretty nice income for the next few years, who knows if it'll take off or not, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts (that's the biz I'm in).
I have to give those who have done and committed to sharing their "situations" a big THANK YOU. Of course creative license was used to embellish some things but you get the idea. I'll keep everyone informed about the progress so you can watch. I think you'll like it and maybe see a little bit of yourself in there.
The TV show Dragnet use to say "The Names Have Been Changed To Protect the Innocent."
In this case "The Names Have Been Changed To Protect the Clueless." I hope no one is offended as this is all done in good fun (and I can buy a bunch of SLS's too) and besides, we all have stories that, looking back, we can in all honesty say "my IQ must have been around my shoe size, what the hell WAS I thinking?" I know I have.
Thanks,

Ron

Numerous other classic stories of stupidity and major mis-information exist there, if you care to "mine" the 126 forum. The worst (or, for your purposes, perhaps the "best") stories tend to have happened or been authored by the same sub-set of individuals there. You can quickly pick out these individuals.

Kudos to you for making a livelihood on this stuff. I've often thought it would make a very interesting book of short stories, if someone had the time to capture the years worth of stories in that forum.

Cheers,
Gerry
Thank you !!! I owe you a Laurel, and hardy handshake. I'll spend some time there but from what I have heard from others I will need a lot of "Depends" if you know what I mean....
Like the old producers joke. A writer calls up a producer and says "did you like my script?" The producer, who has pretty much seen and heard everything in his long career, replies; "Yes, loved it, read it while driving to work, laughed so hard I almost pee'd in my secretary's mouth."
Thanks, again. The work begins...

Kind Regards,

Ron

I rarely venture out of the W123 board over there. There is a lot of good info on W123 gassers there that I have not come across here but for Diesels PP is the best.

OK, I haven't read it yet but I would say that it's NOT "VERY difficult" to screw up a car on a chassis dyno, it's statistically (99.835%) impossible.
That is unless the word Semtex or PETN was used somewhere during the pulls. But other than that....
You realize that by giving me those links you have single-handedly ruined my entire day cleaning and playing with the E320T. I set aside one whole day to do those little things that I have put off for far too long, but noooo -- I get to read "Hillbilly Car Tricks" instead of doing what I'm suppose to be doing. Yeah, thanks a whole friggin' lot.... if it happens again YOU'RE going to come over and do the work otherwise St. Joanna will deal with you the same way she dealt with GSXR when he sent a package of cable over, and it wasn't pretty I'll tell you that.

Ron,

Here are a few more "classics" for your consideration for future work:

This is where "moderator" and supposed 126 "expert" Teutone is telling someone to use a coil (suspension) spring compressor for a valve-spring compression job:
Valve Spring Compressor for 560... - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum

Here's a classic piece of Benzworld mis-information ... about sunroof paste ("Gleitpaste") supposedly ONLY being available in "large drums" & not being available to members of the general public and ONLY to dealers and independent shops. I guess the small tub of MB Gleitpaste I have out in my shop is counterfeit. Or something. {Some good online fisticuffs in that thread, too!}
Sunroof Maintenance and Lube - Page 2 - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum

Another piece of Benzworld misinformation, this time by moderator "Teutone" mis-informing people about the W140 interior:
SEC with W215 CL interior - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum

Here's an out and out lie / misinformation by member "McClare" ... informing people in 2012 that he'd been using p a r t s.com for the past 3 years. When I was the one who personally turned him on to p a r t s.com much later than the 2009 time frame he claims, as documented in OTHER Benzworld threads.
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w126-s-se-sec-sel-sd/1655265-rising-parts-cost-2.html#post5273988

And a few "story ideas" from the Benzworld archives about "McClare" and his car, You have to do some searching to get these stories, but they're all there !!

(1) Fire Damage as a result of an unclean engine bay

(2) McClare runs corrosive engine flush in his coolant system for over a month.

(3) McClare shortly after develops a head gasket problem

(4) McClare pays someone to build him an engine, then screws up installing it.

(5) (as detailed by Ron) McClare's wheel falls off on the highway driving it home from the shop
