I think people lied on this poll about liars. I think all the liberals here think all conservatives lie all the time and all the conservatives here think everybody lies all the time but liberals lie more than all the time.

Well beyond that, though, are those people like pooka who are so distrustful of another group that they will go to such lengths and machinations to argue how bad the others' lies are.

And that's probably the saddest thing of all.

Yes and pooka's post is the real gold in this thread. I'm really surprised to see him reveal so much about himself.

I think YOU'RE lying about this poll on lying! You really believe that everyone is usually telling the truth, and that you trust politicians, Democrat and Republican alike!

If you put your response to the original post in the bottom choice then you agree with me that we need a third political party. How many votes do you think that candidate would get if they said you need to go get a job show up for work and not be a drain on the system but contribute to it.

What's the point? If it is made up of humans, they too will lie. The only thing that will limit, not stop it is if the voters don't simply vote their self interest. IOW, you don't simply vote someone because they toss a few freebies at you. You vote for them because they do the country good.

The results of the poll are encouraging. At this point 23 people are grounded in reality understanding that both parties lie, while only four people believe that only the party opposing themselves lie.

But how do you know that the 27 are telling the truth this time? People lie.

I am just getting warmed up.

Say, how's that trashing Clinton over Bengazi going? I see her favorable ratings are currently at 74%. It appears that few people are buying the story the Republicans are dishing out about the situation, and the fact that Republicans rewrote the 'secret' e-mails to reflect their point of view and then put them forth as the truth is not helping their cause.

I think they would get right at 19% since Ross Perot had that message and that's what he pulled during his run for President.
