My guess is that in his haste to make sure he captures as many headlines as possible, we have seen all the cards he has.
Certainly if he had others, he wouldn't have allowed himself to look like such the incompetent boob....

Why does it equate to his ego? The man has earned respect from his colleagues. After 2010 and loss of the House, Dems pulled out all the stops to slander him because they knew he'd be doing what he is now. The slander didn't work.

Can't wait to see the responses this gets.

What about all the resistance to his inquiries? Nothing to hide, why then all the crap?

I understand everyone demands proof.......

Your neighbor works midnite shift and his wife has men in after he leaves.....they reading scripture, balancing the check book?

You need proof or you got a good idea whats going on?

Watching Issa capriciously end a hearing that's not going the way he wants it to and then turning off Elijah Cummings' microphone is all the proof anybody ought to need that he's a real CLASS ACT.

Perhaps when one leans too far to one side or another, everyone else seems skewed as well.

I'd think there's a large part of the game we don't see. With all the flack Issa has been taking, I could see him 'having a moment'.

You know, the cops acted stupidly.

Quote:
The war between Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa and the committee’s ranking member, Elijah Cummings, rages on.

Issa on Wednesday accused the Maryland Democrat of colluding with the Internal Revenue Service in its targeting of the conservative nonprofit group True the Vote, whose founder, Catherine Engelbrecht, said she received multiple letters from Cummings in 2012 and personal visits from the IRS and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives. Engelbrecht’s True the Vote is one of the many conservative groups that claims to have been improperly targeted by the IRS while it scrutinized the applications of tea-party groups.

In a letter signed by his five subcommittee chairmen, Issa raised the possibility that Cummings coordinated with the IRS, “surreptitiously” contacting the agency to request information about True the Vote.

^It's possible he'll have another moment but so far his actions make him look incompetent and overly controlling. The facts need to lead the investigation and not the investigator's mistakes.

IMO the right wing is hoping to find anything to feel vindicated by the over-reaching incompetence, corruption and devistation created by the previous administration. Sooner or later they will find something but so far, not much of note.

LOL

Like between 2008 and 2010 you get IRS approval in something like 90 days. After the massacre at the ballot box, it went to well beyond 2.5 years and loads of explanations as to what time you tie your shoes, who do you worship....etc. Tell me about Boosh.

Thanks for being...

mysterious, hard to fathom, ambiguous, leaving people wondering... each of these traits goes toward making a person seem enigmatic. An enigmatic personality is about being imaginative, replacing the banal with the creative and always surprising people with the depths of your knowledge and charm. Leave people wondering and they'll be curious to know a great deal more...

And you think 90 days is more appropriate?
I think these 'non-profit' groups need more robust examination of who they are and exactly why they think they shouldn't be paying taxes.
Don't care if they have 'Occupy' or 'Patriot' in their name.
The criteria for tax exempt should be extremely demanding, and the investigation should be thorough.
IMO, any 'non-profit' that pays their board 6 figures should not be eligible for tax exempt status.

Personally, I think this is the reason so many people are not mooning over Issa and his investigation the way you are.... These groups should not be getting rubber-stamp approval to avoid paying taxes.

This entire event almost seems like someone at IRS suddenly woke up and starting doing their damn job... and Issa wants to hang them for it.

The solution is to get rid of all tax-exempt status.

Pay-to-play.

Wouldn't that be a nice fall-out from this entire dog and pony show.

But alas, during the same time, left group approval took around 90 days.

Somebody woke up alright when they saw how jacked the electorate became and Nancy lost her job and a good slice into the Senate....The frightening issue for Obama IRS was these applications were growing and public sentiment for the admin was quickly failing. With a presidential in 2012 it was Defcon 1 at 1600.

These clowns panicked. If you haven't noticed, they do a pretty good job of it.

Yeah, lotsa class.

Unfortunately, it's all LOW.
