And when he gets caught with his pants down, which he always does, he just moves on to the next big lie. You gotta admire that. Sort of.

No lies by Issa, the articles are misleading and biased. Everything he said about the IRS scandal was true. The IRS had other "buzzwords" on the BLO list, trouble is NONE of the buzzword hits on those organizations had to undergo detailed scrutiny like the conservative groups did and none of them had the tax exempt status denied. Check your facts first.

And Carney is a BIG paid liar, anybody with a brain can see that.

All admin spokesters spin furiously. It's a big part of the job.

Issa strikes me as a guy trying really hard to be an important person. He cried like a little girl when he lost out to Ahnold in the Cal gubernatorial recall election years ago.

Rep Darrell Issa sobs after Scharwenegger bigfoots him out of 2003 gov recall - YouTube

Starts at about 1:28. Real time went on for 15-20 minutes IIRC.

He knows he will be a hero to the right if he brings down Obama. It's his single-minded focus. Guy is a piece of work. He's got money but not much class or integrity.

"WTF is with Darrell Issa?"

He is typical of partisan members of the House.

If you are on his side you think he is a passionately committed patriot.

If you are opposed to his side you think he is a partisan zealot.

What do you think of him?

I'm still waiting to see if Issa ever finishes his 'investigation' into Solyndra. He made it as far as finding out the initial funding was approved in 2005, and that the last loan the government backed was approved by the Bush people just before Bush left office.

Issa established that every government backed loan to Solyndra was signed off on by the Bush folks, and then he just sort of lost any passion he had for getting at 'the truth'.

I also don't hear him talking about the IRS too much anymore.

Joe McCarthy was a hate filled drunk who was taken advantage of by a lot of folks that needed him for a Patsy. His biggest problem was that he was too stupid to understand everyone was making money off his purges but him.

Oh sure, there were a few people in gubmint who thought communism had something to offer. But was he right in thinking he could ferret out so many of them and so unerringly? And was he right about how much damage they would or could do?

McCarthy loved the importance of the spotlight he created for himself. Self-importance oozed out of the guy, sort of like Issa.
