I'm quite sure you could summon the Lord to bless that new computer and it will work fine for you for the next 10 years. He's got quite a bit of power you know.

I was at the grocery store the other day where in the aisle next to me an impatient man started ringing up his stuff in the self check line before the fat old broad before him had started bagging hers. I'm not sure what his plan was, but the woman started bagging his stuff as well and putting it in her cart I guess to teach him a lesson. This provoked an incident I was fortunate enough not to wittness past the initial exchange of words.

Took my loaf of bread and GTFO of there quickly. Good move not calling her out, it doesn't pay to provoke a fat old broad, they are always ready to finish whatever is started, like a rhino taking a defensive stance

Oh, IDK. I still have a early-2000s Thinkpad that I use to troubleshoot equipment that has an RS-232 or Centronics port. Upgraded to 2GB or so of RAM -- works fine even for 90% of modern Web sites provided you respect its limitations.

Unfortunately, there is no "jerk free" line at any store. I've seen people at 5 star restaurants eat the ENTIRE meal then complain about the food and try to get a free meal or even try to dispute the CC purchase at the restaurant. Seriously, if the food was bad, either eat it and STFU or complain to the manager BEFORE you finish the entire meal.

Grocery shops or local butcher? Same thing. All kinds of inconsiderate jerks like that. Go to McDonnalds? You have people wondering what to eat after waiting in line and when they are in front of the cashier. Gas stations? Trying to talk down the price of a bag of chips.

I am convinced that all it takes is a human being with means, motive and opportunity and they will do something stupid. bad, illegal, etc, etc.

I used to work in a seriously busy and under staffed bar. You'd get customers getting really angry and aggressive if they weren't served immediately - when it was their turn they'd often turn round to the wife and say "now what do you want dear?" => I'd move on to the next customer who could give a simple, clear and immediate order...

Did the wife ever say "I'd like the bartender."?

Years ago, when I worked in Best Buy, I told the customer emphatically that the card he was buying was cheaper BUT will NOT work for his application. 2 days later, there he was returning the card and blaming us for it not working. Really? You just got done reaming me out for not giving it a chance.
