"the great black fathers future fuel standards"
Pardon me? The fact of increasing fuel scarcity is somehow Obama's doing? Please explain sir. WTF are you on about. I think it's amazing because of the stubborn US love affair with 7 liter V8s and their much vaunted basso profundo exhaust note. I don't like the sound myself. I cut my teeth on my buddy's dad's XKE in the 60s (4.2 inline 6). One of my favorite exhaust notes was from a 1952 Ferrari 2.0 liter V12. Saw it at the Palo Alto auto concourse several years back and heard the owner start it up and drive away at the end. Very sweet. 7.0 liters in a car the size of a Corvette is lunacy IMO. Cobras likewise. A 3.0 to 3.5 BMW motor in a Cobra would be a screamer.

High-revving, long-stroke? I thought a long stroke precludes high revs due to increased piston speeds.
BTW- if you read the article, there will be several engine choices including larger OHV motors. This will be just one option. Stop knee-jerking and freaking out, people. |
