Anyone Try the McD Wings?
Sandwich Monday: McDonald's Mighty Wings : The Salt : NPR
Chicken wing restaurants continue to pop up everywhere in this country — there are Wingstop, Buffalo Wild Wings, Aaron Sorkin's West Wings. Funny . . . McNuggets with a choking hazard. |

Not into "Red Wings" myself but they weren't that bad for what they are. Hooters are better in all ways.

I'm not much into natural so as long as they are perky, I'm there. When they get floppy my interest wanes. When they are so floppy that yeast grows, I'd run like hell. So yes, silicone is better than having enough yeast to make your home made bread.

About the new menu in MdDonnalds. It isn't the greatest but under the class of fast food and the price you pay, what is it you expect?

My local watering hole has 25 cent wings that are some of the best I've ever had. Paying 5x as much for reheated and processed crap. Those pictures in the OP's link are nauseating.

Depends on what inks are used by the printer. Some are toxic.

Are you kidding? Do adults actually eat at macdonalds?

@Larry: Generally no, but once in a while I'll get a quarter pounder there. The older items on the menu are generally still somewhat food-like. The newer ones I've tried usually taste like plastic. It's a shame, since I worked at McDonald's as a senior in high school (mid 90's), and at the time the food was actually still pretty good.
@everyone: No, I haven't tried the alleged wings at McDonalds, and I don't intend to. In college, I was a big fan of the wings from J.R. Cricket's on Spring St. in Atlanta (across the street from the Varsity) and haven't found anything else comparable.

I stopped eating at the golden arches after learning about pink slime. I stopped eating at a lot of places after that.
However, if I want wings, I wouldn't go to a burger joint...just like you wouldn't go to KFC for a pizza. There isn't a decent wing joint in Western PA, but there is in Dayton, Ohio, so that will make the move a bit more easy on me. There's a place called Fricker's in Dayton that has some great breaded wings that are then sauced up to a wonderous level of bliss. I pretty much prefer the wings we make at home...from a recipe using Frank's Red Hot sauce, melted margarine (oleo) and Kraft Honey BBQ. They're never too hot, always tasty, and we never seem to make enough of them. I've blasted through a 20lb bag of wings with the wife and kids (and their friends) and there's never any leftovers.
