I recently heard a comment that Americans have "accent envy" over various British accents. Part of the attraction is apparently the word usage in English. Rather than "sidewalk" which is a perfectly apt term, you"ll hear "pavement" in the UK. A factory janitor would be a "caretaker of an industrial estate." Classy.

I got "probably American" too.

number 9 should have a "world cup?" answer, as it assumes even a basic familiarity.

I didn't answer all of the questions because they don't apply, and that threw the survey off its rails, but i love Earl Grey tea and have it daily after coffee.

I recall being transfixed by Diana Rigg in "The Avengers", particularly when she had on that black leather catsuit...

You got: As British as Stephen Fry walking a corgi outside Buckingham Palace

"You’re awkward. You’re easily embarrassed. You’re sickeningly polite. You’re as British as they come!"

God Save the Queen!

Maybe that explains why I think British food is just fine and don't mind my beer warm?

I wonder if 'Probably American' is as bad as they get.... they are Brits after all...

Got 'PA' on the first attempt.
British as Stephen Fry with the Corgi on the second deliberately going for what I thought were the British answers.
Third try I went full bore American, and couldn't get anything worse than 'probably'....

I feel James May would laugh at this test.

Therefore I must do likewise as it is not manly enough to be considered manly.

One of the weird phrases is "give it here." I first heard it on Harry Potter. We've been watching a lot of Dr. Who lately and I've started using it on the boy. I have no idea how it makes sense but it's fun to say.

Not sure what's strange about "give it here" unless you're trying to say "tell me".
