I also have to put the plow attachment on my lawn tractor, along with the chains and 60 lb bag of gravel. That's about a 2 hour long task. And the plow is good for up to about a foot of not too heavy snow, at least for the first part of winter....

Then there is the best solution of all – the number of a neighbor who has a mid-sized Deer 4wd tractor with a front loader bucket. He charges me about $40 per plow which isn’t bad given that the driveway is pretty long.

Last year, at the peak (and everywhere else), the snow grew to about 4' deep, and lingered for nearly 6 months. The year before it was over 5' deep.
I reckon I'd move.

It’s way easier to let the neighbor plow; he has a gate key

Maybe that weird security dude should get a plow on his truck and plow you out... although he might find more dead animals...

Cool that you remember.

Mr Creepy left tracks in the snow around my house last winter........................but at least he owned up to it ................................................once i posted a warning about a prowler on the neighborhood web site.

He may have been motivated by the sign in front of the property that video cameras are on the premises.

Anywho, he doesn't have a plow or plow attachment for the pickup he drives.
