I'd order something I like just to have something to pull on when thinking over an answer.

Chamomile is an excellent tea. Very light, with no caffeine. Their particular chamomile is very good.. I am kind of a snob of those things

Otherwise cappuccino is pretty good.

I'm pretty sure that's frowned upon during the interview process...

Meeting at Starbucks for a college interview. Guess they do things differently than when I went to school.

Sounds very weird to me too...

...make sure you don't get kidnapped Jooseppi...

...you didn't happen to "meet" this person the internet did you?

What ever you do don't bend down to pick up the biscuit...

In all seriousness, a lot of university interviews in the US are conducted by alumni who volunteer for the job -- you can sometimes even end up meeting at someone's house!

Makes sense because if you're applying to a school in California and you're in Boston, you shouldn't be expected to travel there just for an interview which you may or may not pass.

order spaghetti, then oysters then wash it down with some moonshine

Budda bing! :D

To the OP: if you've never tried it, have a double Americano but not during the interview unless you want to seem, uh, unusually energetic and probably very talkative. This is 2 shots of expresso and steamed water. Dilute as you wish. Due to the steamed water this is often very hot at first and much more mild flavor than coffee but it gives great coffee rush.

Good luck and stop overthinking it! Interviewer probably won't care one way or the other. I'd get a decaf, but only not to stay awake the rest of the night.

Chai tea, a decaf if they have it.

We-ell, the interview got called off for now because we are getting hit by a snowstorm and he has moved less than two miles per hour trying to get out of Boston. I'm split because driving in the snow would have been less-than-safe but I've also really wanted to do it and never gotten a chance...!

"T" makes a good point. I can see the benefit of having something to sip to stall surreptitiously .

Looking aside, he surreptitiously sipped his Chai latte. Trying to focus on the interviewer's probing question, he couldn't put away the niggling problem of his beverage choice.
"What if he thinks I'm some kind of pansy for ordering chai? Oh shlt I knew I should have gotten a Venti Americano, black as coal and hot as the devil. He's going to smell the sugar and spice in this fairy drink and KNOW I'm not a good fit, What was I thinking??"

In my past life I interviewed quite a few people in such places while looking for personnel for remote locations. I can't remember ever noticing at all what they ordered or even if they did order anything. It's chemistry that counts as much as anything.

If you don't like coffee, don't order it. Don't order anything if you don't want anything. Just be yourself.

Best of luck seppi!

What's a "college interview," and why wouldn't it be conducted at a college?

BTW, when you "stall," there's no "surreptitiously" to it....per the interviewer's POV.:P Why would you need to do that anyway?
