This one seems like a puzzler. There has to be a common denominator that is causing these young men to snap. I wonder is he took any of those anti depressant or ADD drugs?

The media should stop giving the dirtbags publicity -- publicity drives copycat crimes.

There have been ~20 homicides in Baltimore this year so far, but it's only national news when it happens at the mall in the richer part of town apparently.

Murder rate was actually quite a bit higher (nationally) 20-30 years ago.

I'd be interested in drilling down into the motives 20 years ago as compared to today.... and raw body counts.

Of those twenty in Baltimore I would bet there is some connection or motive. Those should not be compared to just a random shooting, which is what the one at the mall seems to be.

I think it's "hipster ironic" that someone started the thread and in the same thread says it's a good point not to publicize these stories.

Yeah I think the media should show the lethal wounds. What they should not show is the perp's name. A bloody carcass without a name that way there is not the five minutes of fame.
