As for the cultural aspect of this. AS CMB said. culture my ass. It's a money making racket since the 60's primarily fed by zoos like Seaworld etc, hiding behind the smokescreen of food harvesting and "traditional practices".

There are people globally who are outraged by this and are using what methods they have to pressure representatives to act. But governments are slow, they don't meddle easily in others affairs and so its still mostly the likes of Sea Shepard for now.
Not going to happen. Leopards, as they say do not change their spots. So, the next best thing is to figure out technology to deal with it or die.

Don't care. They eaters can call it whatever they want and if they want to eat it and get heavy metal poisoning, it is their right just as it is your right to drink gasoline or hang yourself. I won't stop you since I respect your right. The thing I do question is why kill them? Seaworld won't pay for a carcass.

While I agree with pressuring representatives to act and I believe it usually involves money, I agree that govt is going to be slow. I disagree that they don't meddle in the affairs of others. They have done so in the past and will do so in the future. Just have to follow what was said in Jerry McGuire. "SHOW ME THE MONEY". At which point it becomes their affair. Yes, I agree it is slow much like anti abortion groups feel it is, for instance. That is the nature of the beast. I agree and support your protests, fund raisers, etc, etc as long as it is done legally. I do not support vigilantism to "speed up the process". I'm sure you would not support me trying to collect a debt out of the court system by breaking someone's legs even though I say it is long and tedious and might not yield results as fast and efficiently as leg breaking.
