I saw that flick once, many years ago, I might have to watch it again cuz I don't remember that car, which I also want.

Something weird happened to Detroit designers between the early and the late 50s. This Cadillac flower car, a '59 I think, is hideous, wouldn't be caught dead in it:



Detroit cars' styling '59 to mid 60s or so just got weird for me. But the '51 (I think) is a joy to look at it. No less of a huge boat, maybe more so, no clue really, but it is easy on the eyes. Once more:

That car from Alice's restaurant is a 53. to me that is the best year for caddies ever, with bigger brakes, a four barrel and 12 volt system. Lovely driving cars.
