And that's exactly like Bundy's protest. They're soul brothers, through and through.

The fees Bundy was being asked to pay were not onerous. Would have cost him much more to graze his cattle on private land.

The Tea Tax was not onerous. Come on, people can live without tea, for goodness sakes.

It isn't the amount, it's the imposition.

Have you ever talked to cattle ranchers concerning their view of range management vs the Fed? There are generations of enmity stored-up looking for an expression. Think it helped the relationship by having the dispute escalate to armed confrontation?
