That's amazing

It was a shame when he threw in the towel.

He always seemed so level headed. I was shocked when he poofed! He would be good to get back. We should get up a mass pm and tell him we miss him etc.....promise virtual hugs and stuff!

He dropped out right after Fukashima went nuclear, iirc. Wonder if that was purely co-incidental.... or if that may have given him a lot of work. Wasn't that his field- nuclear power plants?

A couple from the 300CE Owner roll of honor....

Ashman?
Ernesto aka BenzLGB. The fiery Cuban? I liked that guy.
Texholdem? He rolled his CE in Texas. It came to rest on its roof after three rolls iirc. Opened the doors and the family all crawled out. Unharmed. Got a pic of that.
(Side note: I'd love to know how many 300CEs are still on the road in the US.)

I miss BC too...and Craig and Larry and Carlton and SteveBfl. He retired a looong time ago. He knew a lot. An awful lot.

I've wondered about ChasH from time to time. I have a gut feeling he may have passed on. Vietnam Veteran, US Army Artillery. He told me once he had serious hearing problems. He'd be 70ish about now I reckon.

And finally, good old Howitzer: " Hello. My name is Abrams" Loved that. How's it going in East Lansing JR?

He lives not too far from me but we've never gotten together. I think he was too level headed for OD, actually.

am a newcomer to the forum, don't post much, particularly in OD for reasons, but after reading the thread so far, I come away with 2 things in particular:

I miss Brian Carlton's posts - he seemed like a solid dude.

Whenever Stretch posts, i go 'Army' in my head.

Brian was probably the best ever here in his detailed knowledge of how things work, including electrical stuff. He did not suffer fools easily though.
