Wet And Forget Cleaner

Bleach-Free, No Scrub Mold & Mildew, Moss & Algae Cleaner | Wet & Forget

Has anyone used this product for roof cleaning?

I have a Gerard Metal Roof. Panels are tile shaped, so there are peaks and valleys. None too excited about walking on it.

Saw a video of a person cleaning a metal roof with a spray on chemical. Not sure what he used, but I then came across this product a short while later.

Spray on and forget it.

Thanks for sharing any experience you may have with this product.

Dont' know anything about the product.

from the fwiw dept, I’ve got a major roof cleaning to do and read that the PH of cider vinegar will kill moss (the main goal) in fairly short order, and that mixing the vinegar with a mild solution of dish washing soap will help to kill moss and also help clean the roof. I’m going to try this and then use a soft rake to remove the moss after a week or so and see what the results are for the roof cleaning part. The vinnegar/soap solution is much easier on the environment and roof than some other remidies.

....that is, if it ever stop raining for more than part of a day.

Appreciate your input. I had the installer come out. He said I was looking at dirt. After reevaluating, I found myself in agreement. I read in an amazon review that Wet and Forget was nothing more than repackaged pool cleaner. I'll do some more digging and experiment with a number of things close to inconspicuous areas before I open the flood gates.
