Planted Gun question verses DNA

Supposedly an Officer planted the Gun. Only the Officers DNA was found on the Gun.

My question is how is that possible. I say that because at some point someone else handled the Gun. Be it during manufacturing or the clerk at the Gun store or of the Gun was taken from another crime scene there should be DNA like under the Grips or in recesses on the Gun or the Bullets and so on.
So one would think someone elses DNA would be somewhere on the Gun.

If the Officer cleaned the Gun of DNA and like put the Gun in a Bag why would the officer reach in and touch the Gun knowing it was cleaned of DNA and that only his DNA was going to be left on the Gun?

Also the Officers carry nutralie or latex glovers like paramedics do.
