Legal weed use.

As of the 17th of this month. The weed is legal up here in Canada. No issues with possession either. I have to wonder what effect if any it will have on more American tourists visiting.

Personally I do not smoke the stuff myself. I enjoyed the government stating that this will remove the revenue from organized crime. As they will tax it and each package must have a government revenue sticker applied as well instead.

The old friends and buddy system of the politicians will apply of course as well. Because to legally grow commercial quantities you will need a license. Although an individual can probably grow eight plants or even more for personal consumption.

For example my neighbor could do this legally with the smell the plants produce offensive to us. The whole scenario does raise some questions.

When I asked the wife about the impact on young people. She thought it would be minimal as they already have moved beyond that recreational drug. I guess they could reverse the laws that apply to this change if there became a real issue with it.

Personally I think part of the change. Was the government just saw the lost revenue stream and wanted to cash in.

Part of the reason for posting this. I think the police may cash in on Americans visiting for say a weekend. As well. Getting high and driving.

They will stop you and charge you with impaired driving. I have no wish to see a pile of old Mercedes towed into compounds with their American owners facing large fines and other associated costs.

I have held back on selling a really good growing medium for that product. Now to advertise it in fifty pound bags makes sense. We have an old farm property as well that was a pig farm fifty years ago. There has to be hundreds of tons of the old very well rotted pig manure still there. . These particular plants grow really well in it.

Without my permission or knowledge a person planted a few plants there. They grew like crazy. When I found out it did occur to me the soil was sellable. At the same time I wanted no connection to that business.

Now that it is becoming legal I wonder if a dollar a pound is doable with a small add in the local paper. Say fifty dollars for a fifty pound bag. There are a ton of people that will want to try growing a plant or two I imagine. My humble contribution to a greener world?

I don't know about the hog manure but the wife and I both started taking CBD oil recently and since starting to take a few drops every day we both have been relieved of all pains associated with getting older. No more sore back, hand pain for me and no more neck and hand pain for the wife. It is going to be a game changer in my opinion.

I've got stock in all three of the largest cannabis companies in Canada and have been doing well with them over the past few months.

You should be able to. CBD oil is made from hemp cannabis and is legal in all 50 states. It doesn't contain THC and won't get you buzzed. Here's a link to a popular one in my neck of the woods.

Yes, it is legal in IN now. Try any Health Food store. I see private sellers also. Some say they have great results. I have not. Still, a lot of health or alternative medicines have small effects. I have seen good results with other products.

PC don't sell the Molson stock yet. They are tied in with a company in Canada called HEXO (HYYDF is US symbol) and should benefit from that arrangement.

Tom this is the one the local health food store sells that works good:

Miracles of Health

Talking Stoners Rejoice

It will be interesting to see how this works out .

Getting high is O.K. if you want but -not- when you then decide to operate Motor Vehicles, I have seen the resulting carnage first hand and lives ruined, it's not pretty .

Since anyone who wanted to smoke weed prior to law change did so anyway, there will be zero difference apart from a hell of a lot of time saved for cops, and a lot of reduced crime for something now commercially available.

Alcohol is far, far, worse for impairment issues and police involvement issues, and most countries have a fairly good handle on that.

Why would Americans come just to smoke? It's legal in quite a few of the states near the border (VT, ME, MA, WA). Anyway, glad the trend in North America is towards legalization -- hope it gives old anti-pleasure conservatives some agida.
