Well the good news is most of that list can be achieved by wearing a foil hat in a basement somewhere...

I would love to go to Australia but I am not sure I can survive a 17 hr plane ride to Sydney. Pretty sure I'd end up clawing my way out of the and half way over the pond.

It's on my list but farther down.

  3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
  4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels (anyone the state doesn't like).
  5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
  6. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. (NSA currently listens and records all telephone conversations)
  7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
  8. Equal liability of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. (fruits of your labor belong to the state)
  9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
  10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children’s factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc.

I did see Princess Grace and Prince Rainier riding in a 111 Cab in Monaco while touring around.

I finished my first bucket list. I also finished my second, with the exception of Australia, because I don’t think I could make that trip. We are not working on a third yet.

You have got to get to Germany while you can still drive on a no-limit Autobahn. It takes some getting used to to be driving at 125mph in the right lane and have some Porsche or similar/better pass you going 50+ mph faster than you. You really up your SA in a hurry.

That was on the first bucket list.

Since I’ve never gone to the depth of recreational drugs, it’s impossible to identify with such a desire. For me it’s as if you desire to intentionally damage your body. Just trying to give you someone else’s perspective.

I learned my freeway driving on the Autobahn at the age of twenty. It’s not the same now in most sections because of the truck traffic. There are, however, some good open sections still there. About fifteen years ago the section from the Frankfurt are to Kaiserslautern on the weekend was a good place to open it up. These days though don’t plan on high speed cruising on any section except on the weekend. The truckers take the weekends off over there. Also, if you are not well schooled on the rules of the road, stay in the right lane.

It was long, but the transoceanic flights are pretty comfortable and the planes are made to sleep (we had an a380 and 787 dreamliner), with full meals and decent reclining seats. I have been on a few domestic flights the last couple weeks again and man, those seats are so uncomfortable after sitting in the 380. I felt better getting off the 16 hour flight to aus than I usually do going to CA from philly.

I've hit 160 MPH at Road Atlanta.

I had a Florida Highway Patrol unmarked car pass me when I was going 107 MPH on I-10. The trooper give me a friendly wave to thank me for pulling into the right lane after passing some cars and getting out of his way. I had a Nissan with a 110 MPH governor. It wouldn't just limit me to 110 MPH, it would shut off the engine and not restart it until I got down below 100 MPH. The cruise control stopped working at about 95 MPH.

I saw 165 on a local four lane bypass in a Client's Viper. It was completely undramatic. We went up there between places where roads cross it and back down before the next road. I was a passenger.
