Got an epoxy, 3 ohm coil in today and will try to get it installed and try again this week. Here is a pic of the interior, note the third row seating. Looks just like a school bus I rode in the 1st through 5th grade or so.

Put new coil in it and still have 12 volt on both terminals so I'll read up some more then get back on it. Ran out of daylight today.

Anyway here are a couple of pics of the passenger seat. Neat design on fold up mechanism. Did I mention it is a two door?

Take off the distributor cap, clean the point contacts, turn either the distributor or the engine so that the points are closed and re-check the voltage. Current/amperage must flow in order for the resistance to drop the measured voltage.

Good luck!!!

What are the plans for it? What a survivor...picture vintage surfboards on it...or a business name like Flood's Dry Cleaners delivery...Utter's Dairy Delivery Service...

It was actually owned and used by Frank Radford of Radford's Cleaners way back in the day. I've noticed this ride since I was a little boy. Frank has been gone quite a few years now.

The lovely Mrs engatwork and I have been vacationing in El Paso for past week or so visiting grand babies. Will get back on it tomorrow.

I rented a 2020 BMW 330i and drove to Roswell on Sat. Unfortunately i did not see any illegal aliens in Roswell. I also got an opportunity to drive a new Cadillac ct5 which seemed to be a pretty bad ride.

Remember there will be full battery voltage at the terminals until there is current/amperage flowing. The resistance will not cause a voltage drop unless amperage flows.

Good luck!!!

New points and condenser did the trick. Runs good as long as you put gas in carb. Will finish cleaning up fuel system next.

Cool!

It looks like a good candidate for a mb diesel.

Exclamation 1957 Chevy Suburban Carryall

This fine truck is in far too good a survivor condition to be thinking about engine swaps .

There are plenty more also in good shape that have already been customized with V8's that are nor tired and smoky, *perfect* for an OM602/603 NW i6 Diesel conversion .

Remember : remove that tank and use dilute Phosphoric Acid to clean it, to as-new .

Never, EVER get talked into using Muriatic Acid as that will eat the good metal too, Phosphoric Acid cannot .

Nate,

Can you please give some details about the phosphoric acid cleaning method?

Lol regarding tank. This one is at a mechanical fabrication shop. There were many holes in it so that section is being cut out and new plate welded in. I was not able to find a new, old stock gas tank for this thing.
