But, here's the thing. EVERYBODY WON'T. In fact, with regard to the TSA, most of the travelling public appreciates what they do and doesn't mind the inconvenience. Therefore, you are way out on the fringe if you believe that there is even a few who believe as you do.

The government will pay whatever rate they must pay to keep the TSA staffed. You cannot seriously believe that your actions will reduce their workforce? That would be juvenile..........again.

I disagree. The mistreatment of other innocent people is not acceptable, IMHO. There are plenty of people who actually are DB's, like ones that try to kill me on the highway and sideswipe the SD in the process. They deserve the wrath of Kahn. The employees of the TSA do not.

Define "innocent" -- they chose to be part of a system that mistreats and bullies people. Therefore, not innocent.

I believe that your conclusion about "mistreatment and bullies" is incorrect. The TSA suffers from its sheer size and the amount of people that it must process every day. If they are arrogant or bullying to .001% of the travelers, I'd be positively amazed.

I will state with certainty and without qualification that I have NEVER observed or witnessed any TSA employee behaving in any unprofessional manner. In fact, most have made it a point to be extra courteous to put the public at ease.

Your conclusion is naturally based upon the stories in the press...........which loves to find every possible flaw in the TSA..........it's good reading.

The fact that you now have to show papers to travel in your own country (and often, air travel is the only way of getting somewhere) is un-American and mistreatment in and of itself. I'm sure you'll disagree.

WTF do these asholes need a photo ID from you five times during the process? If you have a boarding pass and you don't have a gun, then you get on the plane.

I do not understand the intense desire to be absolutely sure that the person on the boarding pass is the person on the airplane. What possible issue can occur if the wrong person gets on the airplane without a weapon?


What I disagree with is to mistreat the employee who is simply getting paid to perform the task that some group of moronic bureaucrats developed in one of their group "meetings".

My father spends half of the year or more abroad so it is safe to say he flies quite a bit. He has encountered one surly one in all that time. The rest of the time, they are not going to be kissing your ass but they are not bad. That said, one day he will encounter an unprofessional one but I think the odds are pretty slim that you can take a flight today and find one after the other.

Nah, rageful. Being (however politely) asked for my papers and to take off my shoes like a convict entering a prison whenever I fly f***ing enrages me as an American -- being rude to the askers when they can't hurt me in reduces that burning rage in some small way.

An eye for an eye. They ask me rude questions and treat me like a potential criminal. They're rude to me, I'll be rude to them. I really don't care if they're being paid for their rudeness or not. Rudeness begets rudeness.
