So if you're "separated", don't make any major purchases until you're divorced....Seems pretty simple.

Yes, it sounds simple -- it's just not always feasible -- at least it wasn't in my case.

Sorry to hear that....but I'd say your situation, whatever it was, was probably the exception to the rule.

Seems like there would be a simple fix for this "loophole" as well....The law could be amended so that as soon as one party files for divorce, or perhaps there could be "intent to divorce" papers that one could sign, the community property rule would no longer apply.

Well, as it was, I had to go crawling on my hands and knees to get a release from my soon-to-be ex-wife, who tried to use it as a bargaining chip. Trust me -- you wouldn't have liked it...

The "sounds simple and oughtsta be simple, but isn't" rule of life is why people hire physicians, airline pilots, double-nought spies, soldiers, M-B mechanics, botanists and yes, even lawyers.

Had a lawyer -- a shark of a divorce lawyer who happened to be good friends with the Judge -- this guy was magnificent (and I've seen mediocre lawyers -- I do know the difference). Ex in Illinois, married in Illinois, divorce in Illinois, property purchase in Arizona. It really had nothing to do with the divorce as such, and I felt it best to swallow some crow and handle it personally, which I did. It just seemed ridiculous that I had to endure it at all.

Mr. Mover has one of those win-win scenario's that seems to work for his wouldbe-couldbe spouse so I guess thats a win----->win---0 to me.

Long live the rock star.

The system is taken advantage of and other favorite movies

First thing is first: 1) Thomas Crown affair 2) bad boyz 1 & 2 with will smiths character. If i was single and super rich, I would be happy. I really like the thomas crown affair cause of the bentley and the mind games. :D

To the prenump, there is a few issues though. Nowdays you have "gold diggers" that try to take advantage of guys for money. What is this socieity coming to?

I dont know what you guys think, but a girl that will marry (or be with) a sugar daddy is nothing more than a prosititue to me. Any agreements or dissagreements? I lose respect and interest in them almost instantaniously.

For you married guys out there, would you have married your wife if she was an ex-stripper or ex-escort? What would you do if you found out she was AFTER being married for XX years?

Howdy All,

When I was considering marrying I made a decision never to ask my wife about her previous intimacies. None of my business. It is still none of my business.

If I found out about something that happened before we were married, by some third party? I'd NEVER mention it to my wife. To what end?

Find a nice girl marry her. Stay away from the onse with nore drivers than an old rental car.

Going through your head? Think of the head she's gone through!
