The oil trick would work but, please don't do that.
Tabacco will work in standing water just as well. I cig here and there will do the trick. Get the filterless ones or just a bag of loose leaf.
If the lake is full of fish that's not where the skeeter are coming from then.
What you really need is birds and some bats. throw up boxes around that lake and your problem will be no more, ever, and some beneficials will have their tummys full. it's all good.
p.s. thank for that terra server reminder. I use topozone.com all the time but haven't been to terra in 5 years and have been thinking there was some other site i used before for topos. looks good too.
