I wonder how many folks have died as a result of the prohibited drug trade? One could argue it has a lot to do with the unstable Afganistan that we live with today.

Having seen the carnage due to bank robbery prohibition being illegal, we should make bank robbery legal too.

Hmmm.... So loss of life due to protection of private property is okay, but loss of life due to overdose, drug wars etc., is different. Alright, got it.

Kind of odd though. I don't like to see the loss of ANY life. I suppose different lives have different values to some other folks though. It's okay. You're free to feel that way about human life if you wish.

Since you own your body if you choose to suicide, so be it.

Don't take my life, please.

Prohibiting alcohol was the best financing the mafia ever had. It also gave us the Kennedy clan.

That's why things like drugs and bank robbery are illegal. An effort to try to save lives. Drugs and bank robbery result in collateral damage.

Collateral damage comes from fighting the use of drugs. Call it a war and people die.

Keep telling yourself that.

Yeah, I'm sure that no one has ever OD'd or gone crazy and jumped from a bridge from going crazy on meth or something.

Do you see no difference between robbery (which requires an willing perp and an unwilling victim) and drug use, which requires only a willing individual?

If there is no difference, in your opinion, then I understand why you argue as you do and concede there is no possibility of common ground.
