Update on the high school kid senior project, family barn find, which got him an A for class!

Time for some ignition work as running a bit ragged. Measured the resistance on what appears to be the original coil. Removed wires from terminals on coil for measurement with ohm meter. It seems as though it may have an open circuit as I get infinite resistance. IS this factory coil strange, am I doing something wrong or is it time for replacement, which is my guess?
