I figured it out.

I hope no one wasted any time on this. The screw on secondary fuel filter gasket came out of the old filter. I knew this had to have a stupid solution, I just couldn't figure it out.

Scraping sound from left rear tire

That about says it all. I pulled off the tire and can see that the rear pads need replacement. The sound does not change while I am braking so I am guessing the problem is in the parking brake...

I couldn't find the solution to this problem with a search of this forum. The drivers side door lock has a shaft that goes through a plastic part that interlocks with the rest of the locking system....
