I need an EZL/AKR ignition controller for a 1990 300SL (R129). I believe it is the same unit on years 90-93 and possibly other M104 CIS engined models of that period....

I believe that MB has a special tool, but I am able to remove by hand. It is sealed with an o-ring, so it only needs to be snugged. If yours is very tight you could use a small strap wrench.
