The camshaft gear using FSM 7.1-8014 for 601, 602, 603 it is more complete than the 606.910 procedure and essentially the same. I have the 606.910 procedure but it is sketchy at best.

On my car there are no punch marks on the cams. There is a hole drilled in the cams. To get TDC you set the hole at 3 o'clock. There is no need to remove the cam cover the hole can easily be seen...
