New 250 000 km badges
Many thanks to a Forum member from MA.
Due to his efforts, my wife and I have 300Ds sporting the new 250 000 km badges from MB USA. This is despite the cars residing in Australia! Thanks again, They look GREAT! Just a note to others mounting their new mileage badges; I needed to file 2 slots in the rear of one louvre of the grille to allow the mounting bolts to pass straight thru the grille. Otherwise the badge would have been facing down at the front. There are 2 half circles of nylon which I put either side of the grille and added stainless washers under the nuts securing the badge. To prevent the badge coming loose and faling off, I tightened firmly and then used side cutters to burr the thread of the mounting studs, well back from the badge.

Kenni,
What do you mean "For Sale (kinda)?" Being so excited about your 300D mileage badges, should tell you something about how you feel about your car. You will be hard pushed to find a better make or model of car to own. Once the mechanical issues are dealt with, you should have trouble free, inexpensive motoring for many years.

So what is the mileage for a badge?
I see 250000 km, but miles? I've got almost 200.....would that qualify for anything?

Glinko,
The high mileage is Mercedes way of saying thanks for keeping the car running for as long as it is. If your car has 200,000 miles on it, they you will qualify for the 1st badge which is recieved at 155,000 miles. You can find the form here and take it by the dealer to sign. You will also see the other mile requirments for other badges as well. If you care to see what you get check out this post... Received milage badges for my stable of three
