Picture auto- resize?

The number one reason I quit uploading pictures to this site is because of the hassle I have to go through of trying to resize my photo.

When I upload on cl or eBay, it sizes them automatically.

I feel like more people would upload photos if someone would add that simple bit of software. I know I would.

I'm currently replacing control arms on my w124, and I won't do a write up about it because of the hassle with the pictures.

Well that's a shame.

I agree with you that if it was done for us it would be nice. I found some nice batch photo software for when I started doing some of my DIYs - it is simple freeware stuff for LINUX which may or may not help...

...but if you are a windows sufferer then you might be able to find an equivalent that doesn't have too much advertsing (and inbuilt spyware?).

At one point the owner Wayne was talking about providing an easier way of exploiting the existing uploaded images on this site (I think it was in the exciting news thread) but I haven't heard anything about that for a while. May be there's more in the pipeline?

Agree - Hopefully an update for the future. In the meantime you can easily resize pictures online at picresize dot com. Pretty much 1, 2, 3 no hassles.

Bump again because its annoying.

I plan on installing twin turbos and doing a 5 speed conversion. All of that lovely car porn will remain in the confines of my computer until it becomes easier to upload photos.

I reckon you'll get a better response by approaching the Pelican administrators => they are all named XXX@peachparts on the PM system
