My apologies for repeating my earlier (unanswered) post, but surely there is someone out there who has done this work before, I think.......? Vehicle is concours so I do not want to blunder in and create problems by getting it wrong.
"I wish to remove all the brightwork mouldings and rubbers from the front pillars to permit pillar sanding, repainting, and replacement of some mouldings & rubbers. (The front pillar moulding extends back along the roof edge to form the rain gutter). I have genuine factory workshop manuals and parts microfiche, but the procedure for removing these specific components is not covered, nor is it readily apparent upon inspection. The local franchise dealerships and bodyshops are of no help as they have not done this type of work before either. Can anyone assist by providing a detailed sequential listing of the steps required? Thanks, in anticipation, Zorro". |

Take a pick-iool and peel back the rubber at the edge of the molding next to the windshield glass. There should be a series of phillips-head screws that hold the molding in place.
