1983 240D. About a week ago I posted a question about the ease of changing fuel injectors and thanks to everyone, I developed the courage to do it. I have changed the injectors and it seems to be running smoother, but it smokes a lot. Is this just a break in thing, did I do something wrong or does it need an adjustment? The installation seemed to go smoothly.
Again, any help would be appreciated. |

The injection system may have been adjusted to the old injectors. Have this checked by a tech who knows this type of engine well.
