Hello, Were the OVP relays changed at all in the run of the 300E? I am asking because I decided to replace mine, I took my old one to a junkyard and they brought out a new one that had 2 fuses instead of 1 and it was much larger and would not fit. They swore up and down that it came out of a 86 300E and they have only seen ones as small as mine on 190E's. Is this possible or does this guy just not know what he is doing? Thanks for your help in advance.

The LATER 124's had the large relay. The early ones had the small one.

See how much time you would have saved by just purchasing one from us? It would have been at your house by now.

Thanks

Well they finally found one a few days later but now I am having yet another problem. Well I went a got it and plugged it in, the car started fine, stumbled for a few seconds and the ABS light went off. The car was running top notch until about halfway home when the Antilock light came on and it started running like it used to, I checked the fuse and it was ok but it still didnt work. I can take it back down to the junkyard to get a different one but I was wondering what you guys would recommend. Thanks for your help.

I have a '86 300E and I replaced mine with one from Partsshop. Since these are famous for wearing out, why would you want to screw around with a used part? The new one was all of 45 bucks.
