95 w124 new voltage regulator now wont start

quick history of the past 2 weeks:

ASR light came on then car immediately went to limp mode.

pulled TBA and replaced with rebuilt and fount TBA not the problem, it was just getting overloaded(?)

instead replaced voltage regulator, then put the old TBA back in after cleaning.

last night parked at a friends for game 1 and left the parking lights on (intentionally) due to where I was parked. went back to the car and after running about 1 minute the tach, oil guage, gas guage and temp guage stopped working accompanied by a steady buzz. car continued to run and the speedo was functional so I drove it home. All headlights, etc were working.

now car is in the drive and will not start. there is a kaleidescope of warning lights and all interior lights come on. headlights etc. I have gone through the fuses but cannot find a problem there.

my question: could this be related to the voltage regulator/ASR problem. It seems like it could be the OVP.

Any thoughts?

OVP relay is shot. Check the fuse on top, it's likely blown. Should start and run in open loop mode even if the OVP is bad, though....

Also, you may have a bad fuel pump relay -- has it been stalling occasionally while driving? Have a helper crank the engine while you listen at the fuel pumps (right side, under the rear seat) to make sure they run.

Could also be a bad accumulator.

Oops, forgot that a 95 was EFI, not KE-jet.

Earlier ones won't run if the engine computer isn't on, either, no ignition!

fuse on top?

is this in the fuse box or behind it with the relay?

Also, for a while the car has buzzed after starting for about 1 min. this is not from the dash or anything, but can be heard from outside the car. could never isolate the sound to the engine. Could this have been the fuel relay?

OVP/MASS relay is behind the battery. There is a plastic cover there over the engine computer, OVP, and fuel pump relays.

Later models have the fuel pump, OVP, and climate control relays integrated (bummer!) as the MAS relay, you have to replace the whole thing if it's bad.

Seems that my wife has experienced periodic lags in power while underway. This coupled with the buzzing sound on start leads me to believe its time for fuel pumps as well. Is replacement of these the same straightforward process as a domestic car (yeah right) or are there any tricks.
