Angry C220 won't go forward. HELP!!!

The other day I was driving along, and stopped at an intersection. When the light turned green, I stepped on the accelerator, and... nothing. It's like the tranny jumped into neutral. Now all I have is park, reverse and neutral. The gear selector moves through it's whole range with no problems, but the tranny won't engage anything past neutral. Before this happened the car was driving fine, and there was no indication that the tranny may have jumped out of gear, while I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Great, thanks. I just heard back from the dealer, and they're saying tranny rebuild, and new torque converter . My question now, is if the B2 piston failed, is there any reason that a complete overhaul might be required? Or, are they misinformed?

As the link says if the piston failed there really is no need for an overhaul. Not just the dealer but a lot of shops will just say "Rebuild" the minute you walk in the door. It happened to me. Tell them what you know and see what they say.

The MB dealer and all the local transmission shops told me the same thing! They're all crooks!
