The rear hatch on my '93 wagon will not stay up in cold weather. The shocks are worn out. I have removed the rear coverings and have exposed the square headed pins that look like they support the forward end of the shocks but they are retained by a small hook. I can't seem to find any way to unfasten the forward end of the shocks. I assume you release the forward end first and then the shock pulls out with the rear hatch (tailgate) when you raise it higher. Any help on this problem??? Thanks
