W140 questions

Dear all,
I have a few questions about my 97 S500.
1) My car has the parktronic system and i am wondering if there is any light/blubs at the side of the rear parktronic display? For the rear, i can only see the rear reading lights and the 2 lights at the door will lit when the rear door is opened.

2) The rear driver side makes a little "lok lok" noise when driving on uneven road. The dealer said the it is the problem with the suspension and they said need to change the whole suspension (both side) with new shocks, springs, etc, is it normal for w140 car, even for spring?

thanks!

For number two, unless the work the dealer is recommending is 100% warrantee covered, I would get a second opinion from an independent Mercedes specialist.

1) there are bulbs inside and the dealer installed it.. free of charge
2) I am wondering if it is common problem for W140 to replace the rear shock? i know the car is over 2 tons and i searched the forum that some of the ppl have replaced shocks for better ride, but how about the springs? is it normal to change as well? or the dealer just BS with me?

Thanks!
