Transmission Fluid Overfill

I have added too much transmission fluid in my 300SDL. It is about 1/2 inch over the high mark. Will It hurt anything? IF yes, is there a drain plug i can unscrew to release the excess? Thanks

Take the excess oil out.
Too much oil would cause the oil to foam, drastically reducing lubricity to a point it could cause damage.

i'd just suck it out with a vinyl tubing from the filler tube.
