W210 Low Oil Level Shutdown
My wifes 97 E300D shutdown today with a "Low Oil Level" message. I changed the oil and filter last week, and oil level was perfect according to dipstick. About 2 months ago the same thing happened and oil level was between full and add. I topped it off and it started and ran fine. I figured the oil level sensor was too sensitive, but since I don't add oil between changes,I wasn't concerned. Now I am concerned! Does anyone know where the engine oil level sensor is? I would like to bypass this function untill I verify if its a defective sensor or wiring problem. Aren't many 210 diesels around here, therefore not many experienced techs. I'm new to this forum, but not new to MB diesels. Heard several compliments about you guys, so here I am. Grateful for any advice.

You should post this question on the Diesel forum. That's where the Diesel experts reside.
