Tricky K-Jet problem.

Vehicle: 1989 500SEC (126 044)
I have a fault with the air flow sensor.
Using a proof box I have deduced that I'm getting 4.5v at both the signal wire and supply wire, whereas I should be getting 0.5v at the signal wire. I've changed the ECU and the airflow sensor, and there are no shorts in the loom. Any suggestions?
I'm getting frustrated!
Colin
