SLK230 Lost Power, Part II

I posted this yesterday and have a few more questions. (Thanks to everyone that replied yesterday)
Thread from 2/5/2004 "I have an 2000 SLK230 with 57000 miles. While I was driving, my "Engine Check Light" came on and my engine power decreased. I live about 100 miles away from an authorized dealer, so just taking it to the dealer is kinda hard."
I did what everyone that replied suggested. I couldn't find any parts store that had a loaner Scanner/Reader, so I bought one. Here's the codes that the scanner retrevied.
1) P1235 - Fuel Air Meter
2) P1236 - Fuel Pump Control Out of Ramge
3) P1420 - Catalyst Temp Sensor
4) P1525 - Idle Control
Here's my question; could the Fuel Air Meter cause all of these different sensor to send a code.
Thanks, Carl

I see no one has responded.

you can also try the web site www.club202.com

your engine is what is in the 1999 C230K, which is widely discussed on the site.

SLK230 Lost Power, Part II

Ethan,

Thanks for the info. I will try that URL. Maybe I can find out some more info on my problem. I called MB (long distance) and asked about the DTC's that I pulled.
Just in case you're interested, here they are.
The P1235 is; Reciculated Air Flap Signal Output Stage
P1236 is; Compressor Output Stage Magnetic Coupling.
P1420 is; Air Pump Switchover Valve
P1525 is; Camshaft Timing Actuator
My scanner displayed the correct codes, just not the correct discription.
So, if I can't find out anything at the URL that you have provied, I guess that it's time for me to plan on a 2 hour (one way) to my MB dealer.
Again, thank you. Carl

Exclamation I know you don't want to hear this but...

you might want to check out these websites in regards to your SLK. It seems that MB has had an awful run of problems with these cars and the people have voiced their opinions.

Good luck.
