it seems like a common problem. I've visited a couple auto wreckers, and they've all sold their pumps. Also its a different pump for each model of c-class, and the prices the sold out auto wreckers qouted me was comparable of the part brand new from the US.

I'm still shocked that with the level of expertise this board has, that no one has truly mastered the vacuum pump, like transmissions and engines can be rebuilt, but not a vacuum pump...lol. Either way, the longer i go without a working pump, the more i relize how useless it is beyond the power door locks, and i wonder if its worth 1/3 the price of my mercedes resale to replace it....
