Question W140 Blower Motor Regulator woes~

I am afraid that it is time to replace the blower motor regulator on my beloved 1992 300SE. The blower sometimes works good, then would only blow slow, then would barely blow at all, and now it just doesnt do anything. I norrowed it down to the Regulator b/c the fan never mad a noise and the control panel is fine. I already ordered the blower regulator but now here is my problem..... WHERE IS THE DAMN THING! I can't seem to find it and Benz people I ask don't seem to know either. Someone told me that it is under the cowl in the front of the car where the windshield wiper motor is, while other people tell me it is behind the glove box............ Can anyone help me??
