Rear Suspension Bushings 300E

On my 300E at freeway speeds when I accelerate it feels like the rear end is torqueing as the steering wheel needs to be turned just a hair to the right to track straight and then when I take my foot off the gas it straightens out, I am assuming I have worn REAR suspenson bushings, 2 questions

1. Does this sound like worn bushings or something else ?

2. Are the bushings pressed into the suspension parts or can I use general tools to replace

thanks to all in advance

There's been quite a few posts on this topic. I have exactly the same symptoms and I'm going to replace the rear suspension links and the subframe mounts whenever I have a free week-end. The bushings are manufactured into suspension links so you can't replace just the rubber. However, the parts aren't terribly expensive. Let me know if you do the job yourself, I'm curious about how difficult it will be.

ease?

Depends on what you replace really. The cars being 18-20 years old could probably use all the bushings replaced. There is a joint below the wheel brg carrier, at it needs to be tight with good boots.

I think it's the thrust and camber(???) arms which wear the most. You'll need bolt kits and the little spring collars for earlier cars.

I'd inspect the subframe mounts and the rear diff mounts tend to age poorly. If you need diff mounts, now it's getting more complicated.

I replaced all the links except the LC, and the one with the joint. I purchased the replaceable bushings and WOULD recommend not going that route on the rear suspension. All links, End links, swaybar bushings, and spring pads. I did the front bushings, ball joints, spring pad, and steering dampener- car rides like new.

on your 2nd question, I think for all but one of the rear bushings (thrust arm?) the bushings aren't replaceable, and I think you also have to remove the springs (which you are supposed to use a special type of spring compressor for that is $$$$) to replace any of the rear bushings.
