Am I missing something? Friend of mine is looking at a 1991 300SL (w/5-speed!) with 55,000 miles for $21,500. Title appears clean; taking it to tech today to check out; soft-top only. Is this an great deal (if car is clean) or what? (Damn, I miss my 5-speed 300E!!!) --Mitch

Well you managed to get me talking, you know me, Mr. manual transmission maniac himself.
I saw one of these cars one time. This would be a GREAT car to have. If it is well maintained and checked out, he should buy it, even if only to find some terminal manual transmission freak like myself to sell it to. Had I not recently bought the C240, I would be interested. I certainly understand your missing your 5 speed 300E. Have a great day, |
