1993 S600 (W140) Dashboard Warning Light
The Car: 1993 S600 77,000 miles
The Problem: The yellow warning light that notifies the driver that a light is out is on. I checked all the exterior lights and they are all working including the third brake light. Everything seems to be in order on the outside of the car. Does this warning light also advise about the interior lights? It was raining up here in the Northeast yesterday so it was not dark out when the warning light went on. Anybody know how to get this light off. I now have two lights on in my guage cluster. My check engine light is on as well and I have no idea why as the car runs fine. I did crack a brittle rubber hose when I was changing my oil as the oil filter housing is buried under the air filter housing. Maybe the system is detecting a air leak? It is know patched with duct tape. Maybe I am getting the first signs of a cooked wire harness? Anybody have any ideas or any have any success disconnecting the battery or using the reset tool? Thanks in advance... |
