Hi, I am just curious if anyone has any experience with replacing the weatherstripping on a mercedes? Is it a difficult project? Is it expensive, and can it be bought new to fit an older, 1982 Mercedes?

My car is in great condition but the weatherstripping is cracked all over the vehicle, and Id like to replace it depending on what goes into changing it.

I'm not sure what you mean by weathestripping, exactly.

Yes, you can buy it all new.

The front and rear window seals will cost you about $50- $60 each for non-mercedes stuff. The window scraper seals are about $15 each. The door seals are about $50 each.

I have done all of these exept the windshield at this point. The rear window is not for the faint of heart. I'm pretty sure the windshield is similar. The scraper seals are easy- the door seals are a PITA. I just did them today.

You need to tell us what model you have but the dealer or Fastlane are more then able to get any part you need.

Aftermarket seals are junk don't waste your money buy OE.
