Should I leave my AC on?
I am unsure of what to do with my AC. I have heard that it is better for the AC system if you turn the AC off when you turn the car off. I hear that it is bad for the compressor when the switch is on, and you start the car. Is this true, or is it another myth?

True, another myth.
Your compressor cycles on and off very few minutes when on. There is no need to swicth it on or off at any time. Mine has been on for over 13 years with no failure of any kind. Last edited by Jackd; 04-03-2005 at 02:13 PM. |

On an MB Climate Control, you turn it on, set the temp where you like it, push the auto button for the fan and FORGET IT! Also, don't run it around with the temp dial maxed out. If you are too cold or too hot, turn the dial only a few degrees.
Good luck, |
