Ball Joint Repair

I have the task of putting in new ball joints in my 380 SEL soon. Anyone have any how to's of exactly what should be done and some tips?

ball joints

are you doing upper or lower? if you are doing lower, there is a special press tool that is needed, i couldn't imagine doing it without the tool, due to the shape of the arm, it will not fit in a conventional hydraulic press.

Here's the secret: Check it out in Diesel Discussion. Somebody there has a thread with a bunch of pictures. He managed to do it with an autozone press. You can also see my DIY but it's for the W124.

ok thanks.......im not sure if its the upper or lower. I beleive its the lower.
