Picture of a "fixed" rear view mirror for a w210?
Hi guys,
Is there anyone who has repaired their rear view mirror and has taken a picture of the repair that would care to respond with a picture....so that I can repair mine? I've read quite a few post that give great descriptions on how it was done, but there's nothing quite like looking at it to make it go a little quicker. Thanks, Matt Hemsley So.CA |

Found a great thread with pictures, guess I didn't look hard enough last time. I eliminated the clip/s altogether by just using a sensor-safe silicon(it's what I had laying around) on the black piece that mounts up against the mirror. Done!

Quick addendum... the RTV silicon didn't hold that well, perhaps I didn't give it enough time to cure before using. In it's place I used PL400, a conctruction adhesive. I'm guessing the car will fall apart before the mirror does.
